Blackbird Inn
North Rd, Ponteland, Newcastle upon TyneCame as a large group here for dinner Saturday evening. Was seated upstairs. Very good service from the lady who attended to us all night. Food was fantastic. I had the filet steak which was cooked to perfection (medium rare). Everyone else was very happy with their meals also. The lamb shank in particular looked delicious.The decor and overall experience is excellent and I’ll definitely visit again should I be back in the area.

On arrival my wife and I were given a glass of prosecco each on arrival and my wife got a red rose.There was a special valentine tasting menu. The food was fantastic and my wife and I ate and enjoyed everything on the menu, of which there was 4 courses.My wife really enjoyed the wine selection, there was a choice of low alcohol wines which she thoroughly enjoyed. Haveli have just been awarded a prestigious Michelin BIB award.The service was fantastic with nothing too much for the friendly staff.We will be going again and I would advise anybody that lives locally or are in the area to go along and eat there. A 5 star evening.

Thorneyford Farm, Kirkley, PontelandGreat location on edge of Ponteland and access to all the Beautiful Northumberland Countryside. We had coffee, sandwiches and scones on our return and they were excellent.

Will always come back although because of distance may be less than I'd like.Parking: Can always get parked. Car park shared with small supermarket

Dessert was listed (and ordered) as sticky toffee pudding with lashings of custard, but what they served was syrup sponge, with a light covering of custard. We asked for more custard, which they were happy to provide.

1 Main St, Ponteland, Newcastle upon TyneI would 100% recommend getting a takeaway sunday dinner from Rialtos. The pork is cooked perfectly and melts in the mouth it’s also comes with the perfect piece of crackling. Will definitely become a regular for it!
