I booked Sunday 17 march for Sunday lunch 3 weeks before. We arrived at 4.30 to be told they had run out of Sunday lunch, lamb and belly pork. Disappointed doesn't come close!! Basically fish or burgers available. I ended up with a starter of scallops in cheese sauce which was absolutely lovely. Lacking in atmosphere and very cold. If I had been told that Sunday lunch may not be available at that time I would have gone elsewhere.

Lovely place to spend a couple of hours after a day's walking. Great food. Great service. Looking forward to going back later this week!

Having moved into our weekend cottage Ic and Flic needed a beer. I had to walk 73 steps to the front door of this pub. Their little legs need a lot more. Happy to find three real ales on handpump. Had an Alnwick brewery beer for the first time. Had to try all three and all very good. ( also Hadrian Border and Firebrick brewery.) Lovely pub with great bar and fireplace. Also a restaurant rear room plus a conservatory beyond. Then a lovely shelteted patio beyond that. Loved the music. Restaurant priced food, rarely seen lobster on a pub menu. Dog friendly bar. Great staff.

Gorgeous restaurant with beautiful food and a fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious and the cocktails were super tasty! And strong ;)Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian options and vegan options! We had a few in our group and they were happy with their food.

What a fabulous pub in Seahouses. Highly recommend for a great choice of ales/lagers. Fish and chips possibly the best Ive had and Sunday roast

Dropped in for an early Sunday lunch having read a number of reviews. We needed a dog friendly establishment that did a traditional roast dinner and this ticked a lot of boxes. We were seated in the bar, which was warm and cozy with a big open fire. Lovely decor and a nice atmosphere. The bar staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food we had was really good and there was plenty of it. A good range of drinks available, including locally brewed ales. All in all a really enjoyable visit and we'll certainly return.

We have really enjoyed both our visits to the Black Swan. The place is lovely, the staff are really friendly and professional and the food is great. The only disappointment is the fairly half-hearted vegetarian menu. Having enjoyed two lunches here we planned to bring a larger group - until we realised that, if you don't like mushrooms the only veggie item on the light lunch menu is a cheese and chutney sandwich. The main menu has a couple if veggie choices (including mushrooms again), but again they are a lot less imaginative than the wonderful seafood and meat options. We'd like to bring the whole family next time, but won't be able to until the veggie options improve.

Great find! Amazing gastro pub with fantastic food. I had the pork belly for my main and it was sublime.
