“Breakfast at Bywell Coffee Barn is clearly a local favourite and beloved cyclist's stop (at least at Saturday morning ?).
In fact, it's one of the few places where you'll see a whole peloton politely queuing and even apologising as they perform the classic clipless-shuffle to place their orders.
One peculiarity here: you choose your table, then order and pay at the counter. Very practical for the staff, perhaps less so for those of us hoping for a touch of ceremony.
Still, you adapt, follow the rules and focus on what really matters - a hearty breakfast in a café with charm.

“Icecream is good quality and the fresh milk is lovely, but the icecreams lack flavour! We had chocolate and could hardly taste the chocolate flavour. Being big fans of real icecream, we were quite surprised and disappointed. The strawberry flavoured icecream was also too subtle in flavour. Please put more flavour in! Chocolate icecream should have a lovely, rich chocolately/cocoa taste.”
