Absolutely delightful! After a morning at the stables, we arrived cold and hungry. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the cafe area was cosy and beautiful. Delicious coffee and scrumptious melted brie panninis! Very impressed, and this is our new favourite place for a coffee and a natter after riding the horses.
We come to Wheelbirks very often, I’ve just had a baby & it’s my favourite place to go for a coffee with her to sit and relax, especially by the fire in the snug. We visit every season, my favourite is the summer in the beautiful orchard where you can enjoy ice cream while the children play in the garden, they love feeding the donkeys Hamish & Dougie. I give it 5* based on usual custom. We collect our milk every week and enjoy a fantastic ice cream while we are there.However this week I decided to have a light lunch. My choice was baked potato with beans and cheese.The potato had been cooked some time earlier and reheated. Parts of the potato was cold and not properly cooked, and parts warm. None of it was hot.I’ll just stick to my ice cream in future.
