This is a deservedly popular pub. We had Sunday lunch here with my elderly father and daughter and her partner. Despite arriving rather late due to traffic (we phoned to warn them of this) we had a lovely welcome which was enhanced by the warming fires. Service was friendly and very efficient. Roast dinners were really lovely with loads of superbly cooked vegetables. Very good value too. I strongly recommend the pub but suggest booking ahead. I cannot say enough good things about the feathers inn. The food and wine menu was varied and had alot of options not come across regularly. The service was great, friendly and unobtrusive. I ordered the octopus and cuttlefish dish and it was cooked beautifully, my husband had the mallard duck which was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

I would love to give this 5 stars all round but despite being one of the best Sunday lunches taste and quality wise, it was let down by being on the cool side. The food arrived being held with cloths suggesting piping hot plates, they were just warm and the meat and veg were the same. The quality and flavour was however most excellent and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
