I visited this restaurant last Saturday and honestly exceeded my expectations in a positive manner! Being centred in the heart of Newark-on-Trent, I was honestly expecting nothing more than an average Indian-themed restaurant on a rainy evening. Wow, visiting Newark for a concert, tried a few other restaurants that were fully booked, hit upon Asha, and hit the jackpot.The food was excellent. Even the poppadoms were mouthwatering. My wife had the vegetarian thali (see picture) she is not usually one to be impressed by food (of any description) but she hasn't shut up about it all night.I had the mixed balti (no prawns for me) the chicken and lamb were superb.Will definitely be back.

Went to this restaurant at the weekend and all though it was very busy( which is always a good sign) they fitted us in with pleasure. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious.
