Went here for dinner on a Saturday night with friends 2 weeks ago when pub was also hosting a 40th birthday party in the bar,Unfortunately our evening in the restaurant was spoiled by a singer playing bad cover versions way too loud, making conversation at our table very difficult.As far as the food was concerned the menu is expensive (£38 for a steak?) and a bit hit and miss. Fantastic meal last night... a really lovely pub / restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food. We've already visited the sister pub (The Reindeer at Hoveringham) so wanted to try this place almost immediately.Jordan looked after us really well, was funny and personable and it's a credit to the place.Food was perfectly cooked and tasty, the chateaubriand was amazing, fries crispy and perfect... all really good.Will definitely be returning.

Went at lunch time, greeted with a a lovely member of the staff.Offered the lunchtime menu or Al la Carte, which is the one we chose.Beautiful meal, hot and well presented.Parking: Plenty of parking at the side of the Old VolWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant on one level easy to navigate.Lovely outside area with dining pods and childrens play area
