Superb Sunday lunch. Massive thanks to Bethany and her excellent team for fitting us in last minute. We enjoyed the most succulent and indeed huge roast beef lunches. We felt guilty for leaving food but we were so full. Anyone with a massive appetite will definitely be rewarded by a visit. We will definitely be returning soon ?
Had heard that the Fish Chowder was excellent here, so rang and asked if it was still on the Specials board. It wasn't but the chef said he would do it for us anyway, which we thought was really accomodating. Needless to say it was well worth the trip out. The Chowder was extremely tasty, consisting of mussels, prawns, scallops and halibut (I think). The sauce was delicious and the crusty bread to mop it up was really fresh. Absolutely beautiful food and service was the best I’ve known, everyone should try this pub, it’s traditional good pub grub, Beth, Gen and the chef Jay were absolutely excellent, so accommodating thank you everyone, we had a fabulous meal and time in a beautiful setting
