Historic coaching inn, with the full range of Hook Norton brewery beers on the bar.Sumptuous beamed interior, with the historic globe room and the rear.An attractive courtyard to the side of the pub offers ample outside space for summer drinks and dining.
Absolutely delicious beer, a wide choice available. Food was good as was the service. A great stop for lunch and a look in at history (links to Cromwell and the Battle if Edgehill). Don't forget to admire the impressive oak gates opening onto the courtyard.

The Civil War history of this place is amazing and makes a visit worthwhile all on its own. The landlord is a great character and the staff are really nice. The food is good. I had an OK Sunday roast there. With great beer from Hook Norton Brewery, there is not much can go wrong. Thumbs up! ??
