“I felt I was in a parallel universe where everything was as it should be. My wife and I finished our UK holiday at a very posh hotel in Henley and after eating felt we needed a beer. Found this spectacularly good pub while looking for a Brakspears pub. I drank this beer in my youth and needed to try it out. The low strength standard bitter called "Gravity" was in perfect condition, served at cellar temperature with a lacey head and a lovely hoppy aroma and aftertaste which lingered in the mouth for minutes after you drank it. More importantly, the atmosphere in the pub took me back to the 60s with all the staff friendly as soon as you walked in, and the happy and jovial customers just as welcoming. I was transported back to a time when pubs were full of happy people having a great time. Even though we were only there for a short time we struck up conversations with 3 or 4 customers and thanked the landlady who clearly knew how to look after the beer and her customers.Sigh - I wish the pubs near me flowed the example set by the Old Bell, Henley on Thames.”

“Called in whilst staying in the area on a Wednesday evening. Pub was quite busy, but a table was available. Good selection on the menu and the staff were very helpful. Ordered the fish and chips. Excellent fish, just right with the batter, but slightly let down by the greasy chips, they really should have been better! Nice atmosphere, and food reasonably priced. Very popular with the locals”

“Fancied a burger, fell in on a Mondays-only £14.95 Beer & Burger deal! So ordered the smoky pulled pork-topped Big Argyll burger and a pint of Siren IPA. £14.95 is steal for something so good! Proper Pub is clean with friendly staff and heated rear covered patio. Great find for Mondays off!”

“We have been twice to the Rainbow Inn after being at Stonor Park. Ham, egg and chips. The ham is home cooked and a good amount is given. The chips are thick and just enough for the meal. Both of us left an empty plate. The pub is old fashioned and small. It is family run. Inside and outside seating. Will return.Parking: There is some room for parking. If parking correctly, there is room for approximately 5-6 cars.”
