“Best value for money we had during our trip. The burgers were really tasty with recipes we can't have in our countries. Overall it was full of locals during a game so it was nice. Could have been a bit better to be acknowledged by the staff as we were tourists and we struggled to understand what we were supposed to do, trying to get attention. Written on the table we have to order with the phone but no every dish is on it. Fortunately I'm not shy and my English is good enough so I asked. Otherwise we might still be there waiting. “This place is amazing, parking is tricky as it's situated in the back streets off the Iffley Road, Oxford. Service was great and the food was just amazing. If you can't manage all of it ask for a takeaway box and it makes a good lunch the following day. You need to book as this place gets very busy every day.”

“Living down the road I’ve been meaning to eat at the “new” Lamb for a long time. It did not disappoint. Service at the bar was friendly and welcoming and the food was incredible. Everything was cooked to perfection. Plus we had a delicious Sancerre at a very reasonable price. My husband confirmed his steak and rosti was the best he’d ever had and a miso caramel sticky toffee pudding was better than anything I’ve had in a Michelin star establishment. So happy this friendly top notch place is down the road and now I know just how very good the food is, we’ll be back soon.”

“We had never been to this pub before-I only chose it as it was a halfway meeting point so my brother could drop off my parents to travel back with me.The pub we usually use was closed...their loss but P.O.W gain as we will definitely be using them from now on!I almost forgot to take a photo of my meal...Halloumi & Avocado salad ..which was delicious.(Please note the photo is after I had started to tuck in!) My parents & brother chose food from the Senior menu which they all enjoyed.Good portion sizes and well presented.We received great service from landlords/hosts Bruno & Anna...at the bar & in the restaurant..nothing was too much trouble-they even remembered me phoning prior to our visit to make sure they were open.Everywhere was spotlessly clean and we got the impression it was a really well cared for & well run pub....hence the 5 stars!There is only 1 problem....its too far away to be our local!!We al agreed that we wished we had a pub like this on our doorstep...Hopefully we can visit again when I next collect my parents for a holiday with us!”

“The Sun, top end of the village (well lets say the Oxford end), is a nice friendly pub, with a nice garden that does get a good sunset glow; visually busy decor inside (which i like) and relaxed atmosphere a credit to those who work there. Like the other pubs in the village, I fear very much use it or loose it, and be grateful it made it through COVID!Did not get chance to try the food, but will be back soon to do just this....”
