A visit to Adwell House brought us close by to Sydenham, and we decided to eat lunch at The Crown Inn. Both meals were nicely presented, of a decent portion size and were spot on to their descriptions. Between us we had the Hanging Chicken & Halloumi Kebab with a Greek salad and the Smoked Haddock Fishcakes, both served with fries.Small selection of real ales and crisp lagers on tap, perfect for a summer's day! Really great place for a snack, big meal or/and a drink! The staff was very friendly and attentive. All food that I've tried was delicious and the portions were generous. I was there twice over the weekend and both times <3 Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: I had an amazing creamy mushrooms and a huge skewer (eggplant, zucchini and halloumi) with big salad! Delicious!

Popped in last minute on a Friday. Was happily accomdated. Food and service was amazing. We had a tough week and this was exactly what we needed. No hastle, helpful and friendly. The smallest things were all just right e.g. background music was background. RESERVED Scrabble tiles on our table ready for us. Wasn't chased to eat up. Glorious.
