We were booked for a lunch in the Thai restaurant and when we arrived the Hotel and most of the restaurant on site had been flooded due to the recent rains and the local rivers overflowing.But the Rnglish restaurant accommodated us for our Thai lunch and the service was excellent. Came for the tasting menu at the restaurant for my 30th. Compared to previous visits we were very disappointed.The food was good, although some dishes didn’t come out very warm.However, the service was pretty shoddy. Went for dinner. Ok experience. But for the hype, ambiance and price I would expect more.The wine menu could use a sommeliers touch. As for the food, the menu is very "chain" like.The staff was friendly and meant well, but were so-so in recommending wines for the food.It would probably be a good place for daytime drinking during warmer months with friends.
