Bar • “We choose this pub as we were coming from Guildford to take my mother-in-law, who lives in Abingdon, out for Sunday lunch and we wanted something a bit different. This was such a lovely little find! Fab country pub, lovely staff and great food. We were in the back room which was a little chilly to begin with but it warmed up and we could have had a few more greens with our Sunday roasts but we loved this pub, run by really attentive lovely staff, so much we had to give it 5 stars”
Bar • “Wow what a find! An attractive traditional pub in a lovely village setting serving delicious home cooked meals. Friendly landlord and landlady made us very welcome despite our late arrival after taxi delays. Also allowed us to wait (again) for our return taxi after everyone else had gone. If only we lived nearer we would return regularly.”
Bar • “3x fish and chips, 1x butchers bangers. Fish was great. Sausages not but onion gravy rescued these, A great place to meet up for a drink and meal.”
Bar • “Shellfish Cow was a great place. The staff were super busy, so we felt a bit out of sorts when we arrived, but once they got into a groove was fine. However the food!! Being a seafood lover, it was cooked really well and highly recommended the sharing menu for larger parties. We had our own room in the Wallingford restaurant for 8 of us great for a chilled, informal dinner we all had a great time.”
Bar • “Just to say have now revisited The Bell, and 5 Stars continued with Maria and Maddie looking after us this time.Have booked again for December.This was our first visit to " The Bell ", having been recommended by a close relative. 3 of us enjoyed a " Senior " Menu, of 3 courses. Delicious Food, at an amazing value of price.Thankyou to all of the Kitchen Staff, and also to Richard (Landlord ) Sam and Jade, for the warm welcome, and friendly, courteous service.Will certainly return, as soon as possible.Michael and Anne.”
Bar • “Situated at the waterfront of RiverThames, the scenery is magnificent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is good but slightly pricy. An ideal place to have a relax lunch sitting next to the river and enjoy the warm sunlight.”

“This is our 2nd visit and we were very impressed both times! It's lovely inside and the food is amazing, every dish we have tried we have enjoyed. Both visit's the service has been great, all dishes are explained it good detail and staff are so friendly and polite. Highly recommended. Only thing I would say is a bit more background music would be nice to add to the atmosphere.”
