The food is great & well priced, the service is fast and everyone at the pub is friendly.Parking: Maybe 5-7 spaces and a few more on the road. Although it's normally a quiet pub.”

Bar • “I've worked in many pubs over the years but I'm seriously impressed with the King Alfreds head for their presence within the community. Not only do they have loyal and consistent regulars, there is always something going on with the community whether it be party's, events for Christmas, Halloween etc or just when there is something happening in the market Square, this is the pub in the town that is involved and at the forefront.It has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the food is good and there's a great range of drinks on offer. A large garden out the back and even a separate ice cream counter next door for summer days. There's a function room available upstairs and the landlord and lady are very friendly, I was on first name terms within a matter of days.This is how pubs should be done.”
