“Only had Sunday lunch , but it was well worth the drive from Cambridge, highlights being superb beef, and the picked red cabbage. My only slight issue being the horseradish had been unjustly tamed by making it part of a hollandaise sauce, this was exactly to my dining partners taste, but ( as someone who used to hunt the hedgerow for a horseraddish, and have it blended on the plate within 10 mins so it didnt lose any potency) just didnt deliver the nasal flaring kick required, however the beef was so good I ate it all before the server returned to ask if we needed anything.”

“We first used this pub back in the eighties and we still go back there from time to time, even though we now live in Nottingham. It's like a little time capsule (in the best way), bringing back memories of the good old days.
That's not the only reason we go back time and again, over all the years the food has been fantastic and this latest visit was the best so far. I had a steak and ale pie with all the trimmings and my wife had a cajun buttermilk chicken burger. Both of them were beautiful so much meat in the pie!
It's a great pub in a great setting, if you're passing by pop in, you will not be disappointed.”

“Just popped in for a pint today, and I must say the Tiger Bitter was one of the nicest glasses of Real Ale I've tasted in quite a while. Highly recommend.”

“Nice cosy cafe tucked away from too much noise and fuss. We had a lovely panini lunch and the coffees were great and very well priced. We especially appreciate that they had cutlery for my 12 month old, which is a little detail but definitely made feeding a baby easier.”
“Really nice food and the staff were super friendly. Sat in the garden on a rainy day watching the F1 with a roast - it was great!”

“Very glad that we booked our Sunday lunch at this lovely country pub. We received a very warm welcome on our first visit and enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal with excellent, very friendly service. No surprise that it was very busy!”

“This was our first time at HB, and we chose to visit for lunch. We arrived at 12 for 12.30. The service we received was very pleasant and attentive, we were not rushed at all. I had the cheese souffle to start, (which is my favourite,) and it was the nicest I have ever had; followed by the fillet of sea bass, crab and chiv risotto and fennel salad. All cooked to perfection. My husband had the cornish crab scotsh egg and bisque, which looked amazing, and he said tasted just as it looked, followed by the breast of duck again cooked to perfection.”
