I popped in for some lunch but my timing was a little off, so I had to settle for a shot of whisky while I chatted with a member of staff.I liked the display of whisky bottles and chose a Glengoyne 12 y.o. malt.There was a bottle of Deanston's. My fiancée and I stayed in Aberfoyle in Duke's Cottage in August last year (where we got engaged!). The Aberfoyle Inn was just simply awesome. The people that work there are fantastic. So kind and welcoming! A perfect place to go for a drop of whatever you fancy at reasonable prices and the food looked top notch too (we didn't get a chance to eat there). Highly recommend! In for the rugby today the lass Steph behind the bar was fab, at one point our drinks were refilled before asking, table service during games which was ace, even though she was clearly very busy! super attentive chatty and she serviced all tables like this. We aren't locals or regulars but felt like we were. Brilliant atmosphere! we didn't have food but everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We will be back and today's experience would have us come here, out of our way.
