Breakfast was very good!Staff in restaurant/bar/reception were good.Corridors leading to the rooms were incredibly tired and worn.Room itself was…okay. Until I sat on the bed and felt the springs in the mattress. Got woken up when I turned over in the night to find one of the springs had actually come through the mattress and was sticking out!I had a disabled room with a wet room as a bathroom. Had a lovely 2 nights stay with my husband. The room was very clean and spacious.We had dinner and breakfast and it was delicious. Hotel was near the bus station and the city centre shops were a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Overall a lovely 2 nights break.Rooms: Lovely room with coffee and tea making facilities. The bed was big and comfy and I had the best sleep ever

We had a very pleasant stay at the Mercure in Ayr. Our room was on floor 4 and very quiet, which pleased us. A special mention must be included for the housekeeping staff who kept our room very clean and I had the opportunity of thanking one of them as we were leaving.Rooms: Kept very clean.Walkability: Really close to shops and bus station.
