We loved the Clachan Grill! This is gonna sound like a long story. But it's not. We ended up in Ballater on a cold rainy Sunday afternoon in December. The Clachan Grill was the only place open and weren't we lucky. We were the only diners and were greeted by the manager who served us as well. Beautiful and warm place with a roaring fire in the room. Food was super delicious! Scottish fare and good quality. Service was good but could be more welcoming when greeting people into the restaurant. Simply say hello and welcome with a smile. Have a bit of simple chat to welcome folks in especially if you're charging a service charge. People expect more.
