“Walked out along the old railway from Biggar to this braw wee tearoom and had the most delicious club sandwiches to fuel my friend and I back home again. Lovely warm welcome, and despite us sitting outside, the staff were very attentive. Highly recommend a wee visit in here. (With or without a big walk)”

“Called in on our way home from a weekend away for lunch. It was very quiet with only 2 people eating when we arrived. We wanted a roast lunch as it was a Sunday but were told they weren't doing it so we had steak pie. Cannot fault the steak - it melted as soon as you touched it with a knife. Lots of HUGE chunks of perfectly cooked beef in lovely gravy. We found out when 2 new people asked for roast dinner that the pub had been flooded the day before due to torrential rain and that's why there was no roast!!!”

“Partner & I went for a midweek evening meal & had a lovely time! The young lady who served us was so friendly & polite, as it was midweek it was a quiet evening but that didn’t bother us, we enjoy some quiet time. The meal was lovely and will definitely be back with more family and friends.”

“Fantastic food, great service and lovely surroundings at the Ghillie Restaurant situated in Cornhill Castle. We had the haddock and the pie - both tasted great.”
