We found the big red barn by chance while in that area. It was a true little gem ?. The menu is small but the quality is 100%. Fresh produce from farm to plate. Emaculate facilities. After leaving Carlisle, we got off the highway. This place is located in a place where you feel like you are in a fairy tale land as you travel along the road, which is the only way to go and get the perfect British atmosphere, with huge pastures where sheep graze just like in the stories. It is run entirely by women and everything is almost homemade. We bought two homemade cakes and I bought an Americano coffee. The taste of all of them was amazing. I definitely recommend it.

Really nice place that we stopped over on our way to Edinburgh. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good toilet facilities. There is a great shop here too with lots of really unique little items. Definitely worth a visit if you are close by. Parking was easy and handy. Nice walk here too but weather was too bad to take advantage of it unfortunately.
