Big shout out to Claire and her staff yesterday for looking after after our party of 4 for our first visit to the brasserie, They were rushed off their feet (note to management: more staff please!) looking after a packed restaurant, yet they managed this perfectly with a smile on their faces and with great professionalism, friendliness and courtesy. Mac and cheese was completely bland but we were offered an alternative by the wonderful staff (chicken burger), beef burger was a bit chewy and also a bit bland but not as bland as the Mac and cheese. Chicken leek and ham pie was lovely, as was the mocha and luxury hot chocolate, which were rich and delicious.

Second visit, this time I chose the pancakes, with bacon and maple syrup and I must say I wasn't overly impressed with it. It wasn't bad, but neither was it good. Maybe if I go back I'll stick with the scones.
