Restaurants in Blairgowrie

Sliderz
59 Perth St, BlairgowrieTried for the first time tonight, barley above average. Firstly we bought the cheeseburger and BBQ stack burger and regular chips. The cheeseburger was mediocre at best and to add insult to injury we were overcharged.
The menu stated a single cheeseburger £5.50. And the BBQ stack burger £7.50 a£5.95 for the cheeseburger and £8.45 for the BBQ stack and £3.95 for the fries. So we overpaid nd loaded regular chips £4.50. we paid £0.85 for really 10% better than Burger king . If they hadn't closed so early I would have asked for a full refund. Thank you for the swift reply. I apologise then around the pricing as I didn't notice the note . Regarding the refund I think maybe the kind offer of a 20.00 voucher will be sufficient. Thank you for your quick response and dealing with this .

The Wee Coffee Shop
1 Allan St, BlairgowrieDelightful little place and obviously very popular with many as there was a steady flow of customers with limited places to sit. If travelling from afar - best to reserve a spot so as not to be disappointed as it is a real gem with great coffee and great food, owned and run by a couple.

Little's Restaurant
1 Riverside Rd, Rattray, BlairgowrieFood was excellent and main course was served very quickly, unfortunately it was let down by the lengthy wait to clear away the dirty plates and bring the dessert menu. The place was not unduly busy.

The Old Cross Inn
Alyth Rd, Rattray, BlairgowrieHad breakfast here and the food was excellent, very high quality produce and served hot and fresh. The restaurant was quiet when we went in but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Stornaway black pudding and proper butcher sausages made the Scottish breakfast worth every penny, my daughter had pancakes with fresh strawberries and Nutella which were also excellent.

Cateran Cafe
5 High St, BlairgowrieTook my wife here for her birthday lunch. What a great decision! ! We shared 4 half portions - which was more than enough.
The star of the show for me was the delicious, local, slow-roasted venison but we also loved the crispy monkish fillets.
Some may remember chef/owner Pete Gottgens from his Ardeonaig Hotel days - where he won a Michelin Bib Gourmand for his cooking skills.
Everything we eat was of very high quality. We will be back (despite the 3 hour return trip drive)!
Blairgowrie is lucky to have a restaurant of this standard in the middle of town.

Stormont Arms
101 Perth St, Blairgowrie and Rattray, BlairgowrieA typical oldish pub. It wasn't busy when we were there even though Scotland were playing footie that night.O loud music or roudy growds so we sat and enjoyed a couple of pints and were able to chat comfortably.

The Restaurant at Meikleour Arms
Meikleour, Blairgowrie and Rattray, PerthWe came to Meikleour last night for a visit, my great Aunt ran the hotel years ago and we wanted to come back for my Mum to see the place now. Although massively changed from those days we all agreed it was beautiful, tastefully renovated with lots of personal touches. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Great to see somewhere held so dear to family, thriving and doing something first class. Very dog friendly. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great visit

Balmoral Fish & Chip Bar
High Street, Rattray, BlairgowrieStaying in the local area for a few nights, we thought what could be better than a fish and chips takeaway. The Balmoral had fantastic service and even cooked our fish for a few extra minutes to make it extra crispy. Portions are huge and the quality is excellent. Prices are fair and the food was cooked fresh and quickly. Highly recommended.

Subway
14 Wellmeadow, BlairgowrieAlways usually good . This is disgusting though. I meant to order a wrap .I order about 3 times a wk at least from here . Today I got this slop . I presume it's meant to be some sort of salad slop in a box but I won't be touching it . I've had better meals in prison

Starbucks
Perth Road Perthshire and Kinross PH10 6UZ, BlairgowrieI can’t afford to get coffee here very often but when I do the staff are always really nice - friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with some nice low level music. This Starbucks is spacious and easy to navigate for my mum who has to use walking aids. Disabled parking spaces right out front too.

Marmaris Takeaway
44 High St, BlairgowrieOrdered online, wish I had phoned in or checked order. Garlic sauce forgotten in munchies box, so donner meat dry. Chips would have been nice with vinegar and salt, plain chips boring. Pizza was nearly burnt but half of it was still nice, irn bru can was warm, should have asked for a cold one. 65p service charge applied which wouldn't be paid if you rang up but I placed online hoping for accuracy. Lady in shop very friendly - I'm sure she would have rectified but I wanted to get going instead of opening up bag and boxes on the counter.
