We had an afternoon tea. It was lovely.Went back for an Anniversary Dinner and it was absolutely beautiful. The service was impeccable, the quality of the food was excellent and the best bit was, we were able to bring our dog. He got water and a snack. Everyone was delighted.

Visited here whilst on a short break out of season. We were struggling to find somewhere open to eat a late lunch and rang the hotel. The proprietor was amazing and extremely accommodating, greeting us with a very a warm welcome. The food was excellent quality and extremely tasty. Would highly recommend. Whilst we weren’t staying at the venue the rooms, lounges and bar areas were opulent and comfortable. We would definitely stay here when next in the area.Food & drinks: The husband commended the burger, with all ingredients being locally sourced.

Had a really lovely meal here last weekend. Service was attentive but relaxed and friendly, food was superb, and they have recently redecorated it all. I am told the bedrooms are now beautiful!

Stayed here for one night. Really like this hotel, sitting rooms were relaxing (until my 10 year old came out the pool). Never tried the steam room or sauna but my son loved the heated pool. Rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. Food is very nice and the staff throughout our stay were outstanding. I would definitely stay here again, the staff make the visit worthwhile, couldn't ask for better. And the bar has a huge selection of whisky.Rooms: Clean and in good order. Comfy bed and bathrooms were nice.Food & drinks: Food was really nice. Bar has a huge selection of whisky but also stocks plenty other drinks.

Recently had a wonderful family celebration here. Good food, lovely staff. Everyone had a great time. A couple of admin blips did cause me, as event organiser, some stress, but I would still highly recommend for functions. The rooms are also beautifully refurbished.

We had a family staying at the Glenesk and we joined them for dinner. The menu offers lots of choice, made with local produce. Food was well presented and tasted lovely. The large, ambient lounges offer the perfect place for people to get together in a relaxed atmosphere. Ritu is a wonderful host, which adds to the overall guest experience. We will definitely be back, thank you!

If you wish to tour East Coast or The Angus Glens, this can be a great base camp. Was a great place to work back in the early 70's well at least it was when I was there. ? ?Nearby activities: Walking fishing golf

Looking for somewhere to stay overnight for our wedding anniversary that was just an hour from home. Found this 4* hotel (well worth its 4*) which was easy to book on the phone and very reasonable price for bed and breakfast. On arrival we were met by the owner, Ritu, who very kindly upgraded us to an executive room which had a fantastic outlook to the Memorial Hall and the hills in the distance. The room was very comfortable with 4-poster bed, fridge, safe, trouser press, ironing board and iron, tv with freeview, etc., and even usb charging points. Luxury bathroom with raindrop shower. Very fast wifi throught the hotel. Facilities are fantastic with swimming pool, small gym, sauna and steam room and apparently more facilities being added in the near future. Our dinner was fabulous! You must have the Glenny Wellie....the most amazing Beef Wellington we've ever eaten! Great wine selection and if you're into whisky this is the place to be! Good breakfast. Hotel decor lovely and a great selection of lounge rooms to chill out in. We had lovely Afternoon Tea which had a great selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Bone china tea service complimented the tea. Ritu and her staff were fabulous. They made us feel like one of the family and nothing was too much trouble. This hotel is well worth a visit, even if you pop in for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or even an overnight stay as there are many attractions not too far away to visit. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back later this year.
