My brother and I visited the cafe for the first time in over 40 years. As kids we came here with our parents when we lived in Dalkeith but moved away all those years ago. So it was a special occasion as we reminisced. When you enter there are a couple of tables at floor level but we had to go up the stairs like kids. Absolutely, hands down, one of thee best all day breakfasts had. Proper mug of tea, food cooked beautifully, having travelled this was a great find and will be returning. Great customer service

Great food and lovely staff. Really nice white coffee and tea. My boyfriend and and I ordered a cheese toastie and an omelette on toast at about 3pm . Fast service, by a lovely family. We both enjoyed our meals here. Big portions, value for money. The toilet was spotless downstairs. I recommend visiting this cafe the next time your in Dalkeith.
