Breakfast, cooked to order, is served in a dining room with outstanding views of the River Nith. The staff are friendly and helpful. Glencaple is a 10-minute drive from Dumfries and is close to the Wildfowl Trust reserve and Caerlaverock Castle. Visitors highly recommend the pork with peppercorn sauce.
