Formal, but not stuffy, with fixed price menus with 4/5 choices for each course - reasonable value. 3/4 empty on a Thursday evening mid-August, so subdued atmosphere. Excellent cooking, particularly nice venison. Good vegetables, though exactly the same for whichever main you chose. Staff attentive & seemingly stressed, though not really enough for them to do.

Excellent tasting, well cooked and presented food in clean modern, comfortable surroundings. All our dishes were delicious so I'm not sure you can go wrong with your choices.Some excellent wines available at fair prices and served in appropriate stemware.Staff were friendly, efficient and eager to please. Truly enjoyed our meal there and will definitely return next time I'm in the Ferry.
