Really disappointed as we regularly come for tea & this had always been our place to come as a family. We had a table tonight booked for 25 guests, well was actually the back area so hired for £25. Deposit was paid for £5 a head which I totally understand but in theory this doesn’t work with a group this size when the girls are putting food down on one bill & drink down on another ! Excellent meals had for a party of 5.Given ample time to choose for the menu and the half portions were more than adequate, and delicious.Being the run up the Christmas there were numerous bookings and kept the staff on their toes and everyone was attended to and cleared up afterwards with efficiency.A lovely time had
Came for a family meal on Saturday night. Was not sure what to expect as some of the reviews are not very good. The pub was clean and tidy inside but does need to have some money spent outside on the carpark as plenty of potholes and poor lighting does not set the pub up for a good first impression.( also make sure it is litter free) The staff seemed pleasant when serving and the food was faultless, well presented, tasty and good value (all seemed freshly prepared) My only criticism...read full review
