We celebrated a birthday party at the basement with friends, the deal was particularly satisfactory.The venue in the basement perfectly suited for 30-40 people, the staff was very friendly with everyone and for me the plus side was that they have a little bar to serve drinks downstairs.When finished the party time we had a reserved space upstairs to enjoy more drinks with friends.Good atmosphere and great music.We had a great time there, highly recommended.
Away from the Royal Mile and tourist zones we found Home Bar going to a Fringe show in its small basement room. Ended up being a warm cozy spot to kill a couple hours. Gave us a 'locals' vibe that was a nice counter point to the all the tourist spots in Old Town.

Popped by this bar after a movie and the ambiance was great! Loved the little details in the decoration, the music and lightning. Will definitely come back and check out any events they may have on. Didn't have food that's why I did not review it, but the smell of it was tempting enough!
