Great pub, good prices, decent variety of food and beverages. The crowd and the service is great. 2 big screens to enjoy your sports. A great vibe all together on gorgie where there are considerable clubs. The owner is always on her toes. Definitely recommended. Do try out the salads and beer.
I’m a student nurse from Ireland and I’ve been coming to Jessie Mays for roughly the past year since moving to Gorgie. The staff from both the bar and restaurant (Altro Kitchen) have been nothing short of amazing and always go out of their way to make you feel at home. Very pleasant. Comfortable seats. Allows my 15 yr. old nephew in.Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see the (rather poor) ramp, so got assistance over step at door nearest railway bridge.
