It is the only fish restaurant in the area the day we went and we had our fish and chips to take away.A good portion of fish and a bit short for chips.We paid £20 in total for two medium fish and a small portion of chips( £3.50)It is a bit expensive compared to other places which they do not use frozen chips.
The Fishmarket is dockside with an updated yet rustic nautical feel; the atmosphere is inviting and well suited to enjoying a brew/ cocktail and elevated food fare without the high-end cost. Tables are well situated throughout the dine in area to promote a relaxed but cozy environment. Battered oyster was tasty and fresh.The lobster was well-cooked and the fish & chips was among the best we had ever had.I was especially interested in the batter blend, which had very good texture and taste.We enjoyed the drinks and the apple crumble too.Will definitely visit again.
