Lovely looking cafe in Glasgow's West End. I had haddock with some coleslaw, my partner had burger and chips, and we both had a mug of tea each. My haddock initially had a strange taste and I soon realised it was the tartare sauce. It was horrible! I ate what I could of the rest but the tartare sauce left a nasty taste in my mouth. Now refurbished and called Simeone's, but still owned by the same family. £8.70 for a sit-in sausage supper and a giant mug of tea is the best value you'll get on Byres Road. Lovely hot fresh chips and crunchy batter on the sausages (two! Bargain!). A marvellous way to set yourself up for a night on the bevvy.
