“We chose the gretna chase hotel as part of our package for our wedding booked through the gretna wedding bureau, we had already stayed in the hotel before booking our wedding so it really was our number one choice and luckily our date was available.We stayed in the Paulo and francesca bridal suite for our wedding, the room was stunning.The staff are very helpful and attentive, set our tables up perfectly and was an absolute perfect day and night.Mostly all of our guests stayed in the hotel the night of the wedding too and everyone was happy with there room.Thanks again. ?We will be back to stay again, Gretna will always be a special place for us.Mr & Mrs Chalmers.”

“My now wife and myself recently got married here and I have only praise for the venue. The whole process was made very easy from the initial enquiry to the big day. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with our family and friends and we all thought it was wonderful. The staff Really looked after us and they responded to every request with a smile and a passion to please. The rooms were great, clean and fresh. The food was excellent and a great breakfast buffet. The grounds are wonderful and really added to the romantic feel. We loved the coach house where the actual ceremony was held as we did the kissing gate and outside pagoda with an anvil. We had a few children with us and they were treated lovely by the staff. My only suggestion would be improve the spirits selection at the bar. I would like to have seen the Scottish heritage of whiskey embraced more and celebrated. 2 minutes walk from the train station which is great but no shops close without a drive. That's no criticism of the venue but don't forget your essentials unless you like a hike. Thank you so much for making our special day so wonderful and a special thanks to Stewart, his service and attention at our wedding breakfast was great. Some accessibility issues for wheelchair users but lifts and ramps are provided and the staff happy to help with this. We will be back. Many thanks Mr and Mrs Lamb. “Stayed here after a wedding, room was nice, spacious and comfortable.Paul the bartender in the room where the reception was, was fantastic, great guy full of cheer. The 3 course meal was served well, prompt, hot & tasty..... Only downside to our stay we couldn't check in until 3pm and there was no where for us to get changed before that for the wedding which was at 2pm. Not even a toilet, told us to go the retail park over the road and use their facilities. When we did eventually check in after the wedding ceremony meal etc, Joanna on reception was far from friendly, not a smile or "enjoy your stay" anywhere to be seen!”
