Stopped for coffee on a Sunday morning during a stroll round Hawick. Lively place with good coffee and interesting cakes. Also has a cinema. Friendly staff and welcoming.

I had a morning coffee here, with a piece of dark chocolate millionaire's shortbread, which was pennies over a fiver. Coffee was good, and the shortbread satsfactory. The location is very nice, and I look a window table, overlooking the Slitrig

Heart of Hawick is a real asset to Hawick, as the town has suffered from the decline of its industries and businesses in the High Street. The venue is a converted Victorian mill which contains a cinema, cafe and arts facility. It's possible to have a meal before or after a film or a live performance and the view over the river makes it attractive. For all I only had a coffee, which was quite nice and Ok price wise, Heart of Hawick does cakes, light meals and sandwiches, and the venue is popular with locals. Dogs are welcome too.

Great place to have lunch or coffee and cake. Vegan options available on cakes and bread. Oat and Soya milk available

Great place, located in the Hawick theatre. Thevblveggie pizza was amazing. My husband had the potato and leek soup and that was also delicious.

Oh dear. What’s hard about making a decent toastie basic doesn’t come close toasted it was not! Staff training needed in that department Saturday staff seemed totally overwhelmed it wasn’t overly busy. It’s a shame as it’s nice place to be in not sure if I’d go back

Haven't been in here in years but it's a great little cafe/meeting point now. Just nipped in for a quick coffee as we were passing through but there seems to be plenty on. Service was grand and prices were very reasonable,

Great atmosphere, good food, lots of space for buggies, amazing cakes! Lovely view sitting over the river, literally. Also, absolutely gorgeous pizzas!!!!

Busy when arrived so prepared to wait. Expected service when things calmed down but was ignored - staff more concerned with chatting to friends. Left after half an hour without having the opportunity to order. Luckily there are other cafes in Hawick!
Excellent hot chocolate very hot loads of cream and marshmallows, a must,

Enjoyed a fruit scone with jam along with a latte coffee. Both very tasty nice to actually taste the coffee. Hint: Ask for a glass rather than their cups. Service was ok although they forgot to bring the scone!
