Popped in for lunch whilst staying up in the borders, ok so the place was a little chaotic as the owner was stressing out with routing some cables in and couldn't find the right size cable clips but that aside, we ordered the haggis and pork burgers and wow!, they did not disappoint, freshly cooked with some salad and home made (proper) chips!. Came here at around 9:30 pm on a Monday night. We were following the Race Across Scotland (one of our party was running in it), which had a checkpoint in Ettrick. We were desperate for a drink and came across this lovely pub.Coming in, it was like being welcomed into a family home. We ordered drinks and the owners were asking about what we were doing in Scotland. This is a fantastic place, great food, lovely room. You are treated like a member of the family here, nothing is too much trouble. We had a really good night there. Thank you again!
