The room was great. Beds could be more comfortable and the window didn't shut properly.The staff are lovely and the breakfast was lovely!Nearby activities: In the centre ,so very close to everything ie, the races which we were there forWalkability: Great locationFood & drinks: Breakfast was fantastic. The bar didn't sell food but they did supply pies when watching the rugby- went down a treat!

Stayed here with my family. Located in the city centre, clean rooms, comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom with good electric shower.Room is cleaned daily and we had this lovely biscuits with tea and coffee daily.Breakfast was good.My baby had enough space to crawl around in the double bedded room.The owner is very friendly.Good value for the money paid

For day time & night time...Walkability: For a pub to walk to its really convenient.. split in 2 rooms bar & lounge... personally... the 2 together would have more of an atmosphere!Unsure if it has meals available... didn't see anything to suggest it it... ?

Booked in for the Saturday night 21st Oct 23, had such a wonderful time in the bar with the amazing staff and locals, I decided to stay an other 2 nights, the owner is always on hand and his personality sets the mood for the whole place to be such a wonderful place to spend time getting to know the locals and enjoy a laugh together, the atmosphere is very friendly. The rooms are basically just what you need, tea coffee facilities and a couple lovely biscuits , tv on-suite bathroom bath and electric shower , comfortable double bed, all cleaned daily by a lovely lady. What more would you want at this price, I don’t have breakfasts in hotels, but other guests told me it was good value for money. I would definitely recommend the Black Swan and would stay here again for sure.Walkability: Right in the centre of town with free parking, and plenty of restaurants and shops to spend the money you save by staying at the Black Swan.

Perfect overnight stay, to explore Kelso. Comfortable bed and a warm shower, in a characterful hotel, right in the heart of the city. A very warm welcome at check in, with great sightseeing tips by the hotel owners too. If you’re traveling by bus, this is the most convenient place to stay, as the bus drops you off near the front of the hotel entrance, and the bus depot is just behind the hotel. It was an enjoyable stay, with all the essentials for a brief visit to this beautiful town. Good location right in the middle of Kelso, room was nice but lots of stairs no lift available. Could not get breakfast because we arrived after 9pm?
Stayed here by myself and i can say i did have a lovely night. Nice and decent hotel. Friendly staff. Though quality of food could be better and improved. A quiet place to stay in - all the basic things you will need are already there. For the price and the location, I couldn’t ask for more. Good service.

What a homely place, the people are so friendly. The manager is an Irish guy and his fiancée were so welcoming. I would definitely suggest a visit if you're in Kelso.
