The Good, The Bad, and the very friendly!The good: this hotel is a traditional delight in the central square in kelso, right in the heart of the beautiful town, boasting views right across the square. Stayed here for a night on the Borders Abbey Way. I wasn’t particularly enthused on arrival as I felt it had the feel of an older person’s hotel. However, that myth was soon dispelled. The receptionist was lovely and gave a warm welcome. My bag was being transported and hadn’t yet arrived but she phoned my room as soon as it did. Didn't stay at this hotel, but ate here on three evenings whilst staying elsewhere. It's a limited menu, but what we had was excellent and at a reasonable price. Friendly staff as well.
