The food was really delicious. We had the duo of market fish which was really good, tender, fresh and tasty. My OH had the rack of lamb, which was two lamb chops... I think it should be at least three to constitute a rack, so he felt the portion could have been bigger. We were staying in Selkirk but decided to visit Kelso yesterday for a meal. I spotted this on trip adviser and decided it was ideal as we both love italian food. I tried to phone in the afternoon but no reply , however an hour later the proprieter called back and we arranged a table for 6.00 pm. It was fairly quiet when we arrived but got very busy by the time we were ready to leave. Don’t be put off by the somewhat forbidding exterior., it’s completely different on the inside. Very much enjoyed the food. Service is very good. Nice surroundings on the inside, a real surprise… including a nice bar area.
