67 Commercial Rd, Lerwick, ShetlandA good local bar. When you go in the door, to the left is what we used to call the public bar (darts, pool, etc) and to the right what we used to call the saloon. Packed on a Saturday evening, but there's a lot of space and we were able to find a seat. The beers selection is disappointingly non-local (I had a Greene King Level Head, which I like, but it's come a long way).

25 Commercial Rd, Lerwick, ShetlandBefore heading to shetland island i was unsure if id be able to get any halal food. i decided to go here for the prawn chilli pasta to find out from a member of staff that all their meat is halal and they also advised me another restaurant is also all halal.
the spicy prawn pasta was unbelievably good so was the garlic bread.
i honestly couldn't suggest this place enough.
and for anybody that only eats halal food, this will be your spot whilst on this island!

98 Commercial St, Lerwick, ShetlandGreat local restaurant. Good menu. They have beer and wine. Plenty of indoor seating. Very friendly staff but most people in Lerwick are friendly! We got the haddock fish and chips and the buffalo chicken loaded chips that had battered chicken nuggets with buffalo sauce over a bed of fries. The fries (chips) are curved end to end giving them good crisp. They make their sauces in house. It's right on Commercial Street so easy access from the dock.

Port Arthur Rd, Scalloway, ShetlandThis is a great place for lunch. Run by a delightful team serving up delicious, very well prepared quite interesting lunches at sensible prices.
Food and service is great. The restaurant itself is a bit confusing. 1980s out-of-tows office meets staff canteen with odd nic-nacs on display. Anyway it's all clean and very nice.
It's busy, you might need to book ahead.

Toll Clock Shopping Centre, Lerwick, ShetlandIt's a cafeteria. Watched queues of people for fully cooked breakfastd. Having said that I had lunch and very good homemade soup.
Great (and I mean great) service from the ladies working there. Will go again.

Thule Bar
Esplanade, Lerwick, ShetlandWe were in here for what can only be described as a lovely and unique afternoon. Coming from Dorset for the wool week and popping into a real local pub, owned by local people was fantastic. We stayed to hear the fiddle music and got a real insight into local life from the barman Steven-we hope to go back to Shetland next summer and will make "da famous Thule bar" our first watering hole-thanks for having us!!!

Ladies Dr, Lerwick, ShetlandWe just popped in for a drink (or two) in the tap room (we didn’t book the full brewery tour). Such a great range of beers on tap - definitely recommend ordering a flight to sample as many as you can. There was just a very nice, welcoming atmosphere and the shop upstairs was excellent.

Esplanade, Lerwick, ShetlandAbsolutely loved our visit to Coffee Culture in Lerwick! It’s rare to find such a perfect mix of quality, variety, and cozy vibes all in one place. The hot chocolate was hands down the best we’ve ever had—rich, smooth, and comforting. The cappuccino was equally impressive, perfectly balanced and beautifully served.
Their sandwiches and onion cheese panini were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We were thrilled to find eggless options and to top it all off, the cake was divine—sweet, buttery, and melt-in-the-mouth delicious.
A definite must-visit for anyone who loves good food and great coffee!

15 South Rd, Lerwick, ShetlandWe stayed at the hotel and ate here twice. We had the chowder at lunchtime. For the main course at dinner we had venison with haggis and duck. We should have also ordered a side order of vegetables. Attentive service.

Kantersted Rd, Sound, ShetlandA spontaneous decision to grab some dinner as driving past. Very busy and gentleman on counter advised a 45 minute wait, which was fine as I went for a wander nearby.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Would go again if I'm in the area.
