There are almost no places for dinner in Scalloway, better off in Lerwick, but we managed to find Da Haaf. It’s open for lunch most days but only for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. We pre-booked for a Saturday night via Facebook (probably a good idea as it seems popular with local residents) and we’re so pleased we did. A hidden gem, with beautiful views and excellent food, particularly the local seafood. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Open to the public, not only college students and staff. Particularly recommend the macaroni cheese with smoked fish.

Interesting but not over complicated menu very well executed. Wonderful quality fish used and cooked well. Meat and vegetarian options. Not posh but comfortable surroundings. Good service.
