Everything was more than we could have expected: friendly, helpful and v efficient service at table. The food was beautifully cooked. Well organised staff. I found it especially pleasing that the table was laid correctly (in my view!) - unlike most restaurants these days!
The bar staff were very accommodating however it was for a birthday and because the chef wasn’t there for ages for the carvery 9 out the 12 had finished dinner before those 3 were back because waiting so long , asked for bbq sauce was told would b 49p ! There was £12 of us eating drinking an had two courses not a set menu either then didn’t bring the sauce in the end after we waited in queue to ask for it as the chef wasn’t help the food was good but was a little disappointing...read full review

Myself and my husband came in for Xmas Dinner and was not really happy with the service, we waited a long time for starters, main meal and decided to take desert home. The staff were lovely but clearly rushed off their feet, should have had more staff. The food was good but just took too long to get to us.Not sure I would be back for Xmas Dinner but would be back for a Sunday lunch. Just make sure you have enough staff. Happy New Year
