Paid Eden coffee House a visit after climbing the Eildon hills. Arrived at the cafe just before 11:30am and found that breakfast options were still available. The Eden (Scottish Breakfast) is recommended. Vegetarian options also available. The cafe also serves scones, cakes and other breakfast options as well as main meals later in the day. Went to the cafe at Saturday lunchtime. The waitresses were not very attentive. We waited 15-20mins to be served, and the table next to us didn’t have their plates cleared until they ordered a coffee quite some time afterwards. When one of the waitresses served my dad his tea, when placing the items down she put the milk pot into the cup, which was unhygienic. Food was lovely though and we didn’t wait long for it. Went for light lunch, staff not very attentive or alert to customers needs.Coffees very expensive, charged £1 for extra shot and 60p for oat milk making price for Americano £4.90, Oat latte £4.20. Outrageous even in current climate. Staff spent a lot of time in discussion, seemed unaware of customers arriving...when we asked for bill, just told the total, no bill to check. Overall not the best experience.
