Decent pub, good selection of beers and very good selection of whiskies. Also a basic but good lunch menu, (roll and mince anyone). Friendly staff and good service, happy to go back again anytime.
We we’re passing through Montrose and decided to stop for something to eat. The Market Arms had a soup and sandwich deal at £5, unfortunately for us the last of the soup had been sold to the previous customers. On looking again at the menu we both decided to take filled sandwiches with crisps a glass of milk and tea for my wife. Only downside was they had no food. Good old fashioned type pub. The decor was modern. It even had a snug not seen in many pubs these days. The bar and glazed windows were works of art. Nice atmosphere.
