Location wise this was very handy and easy to find with a decent size car park. From the car park I went to the front door and rang a couple of times, no answer so decided to try the public bar, a sign on the car park pointing in that direction would have been very helpful. All good when inside, the staff were nice helpful and friendly, it was a Sunday when I left and they left me cereals and toast and a packed lunch for the day. Just been at Ecclescraig holiday park for the weekend.Went to this hotel on the saturday for our lunch . Lovely fresh, hot homemade food , was really good , service was great, really friendly atmosphere. Was so good we went back on the sunday.Recommend to anyone.
Had dinner here tonight. Place was nice and clean and the food was great. Only downside was the weird lighting in the room where we ate. Maybe its just something we noticed and nobody else would care but most of the pub had a nice cosy glow whereas the room we ate in just had two really dim blue-white LED chandelier things. Combined with the blue paint and blue wallpaper it was somehow dim enough to make it hard to see and bright enough to make you squint your eyes at the same...read full review
