I was one of a *very* wet and bedraggled group of walkers passing through Bellside. The pub was closed and the landlord was sitting in his van outside about to drive off, but after a brief conversation he opened the pub up just for us, made us tea and coffee without even charging ("we don't usually sell it"!), procured hot food for us and opened the bar so we could buy drinks and bar snacks. Went in passing by couldnt believe how friendly the staff were. Atmosphere was amazing ended up staying the night in one of the rooms. Which were spotless and amazing value. Great place great people
