Friendly and chatty staff made it a warm and welcoming experience. Needs a few more heaters for the winter though ?

Downs Holiday Park, The WeeCOOK kitchen Barry, CarnoustieBought 6 pies on Hogmanay. Staff were amazing, i asked about a phat bap and even though they weren't selling any, still offered to whack on an oven and make one for me!
On to the pies, unfortunately the dog got to 3 of them before I did, so cant comment on all of the flavours we bought! However, the beef steak bourguignon pie was quite probably the best pie I have ever tasted. Beef just fell apart, sauce was incredible. The butter chicken pie was equally as delicious (beef was still my favourite though!). The chicken and bacon is another huge hit. I'm usually not a big fan of fish pies but I'm very eager to try this one.
I would absolutely recommend ordering or getting there early as they do sell out. Favourite pies now!

1B High St, CarnoustieDid not know that you had to wait to be given a table as this was my first time here after being recommended by a friend. I was allocated a table but was told that the table was reserved and we would only have 40 mins. So to that we decided to just have a coffee as it would be too rushed to eat. The time I was there I noticed only two tables leaving after finishing their food.People were just being served at other tables and more people arrived and the two other tables were given to them. There was only two front of house staff that I could see and they appear to be rushed.
I will definitely go back for a meal next time I'm in the area.

Links House, Links Parade, CarnoustieMe & my friend came here for breakfast Saturday past. and we had a lovely breakfast I had scrambled egg and fried tomato on toast & Joanne I scrambled egg and lorne sausage on a roll both had tea & coffee with it too we have decided on coming back for breakfast again

East Scryne Farm, CarnoustieLovely setting for coffee & cake or light bite, with a fully enclosed play area.
The new carpark layout is a big improvement, and much safer for kids/pedestrians.
Fruit is always good quality, worth a stop off just to pick up local berries. Nice baking. Small menu, but what's on offer is done well. Plenty of seating outside.
Nice play area with a hay bale tower & slide, large bouncing pillow, sandpit with plenty of toys, swing and wendy house. There are 2 goats too, and goat food is available to purchase.
Only criticism, one side of the bouncy pillow was covered in bird poo, and some kids ended up covered in it. Obviously birds cant be avoided in the branches above, but it would be good if the area had a quick once over in the morning and hosed down or a quick mop over any really dirty bits before opening for the day.

They also have a mobile app so you can order from your phone.They boast the biggest pizza in Angus - 20” and it’s absolutely massive. Typically costs £25 with any 5 toppings of your choice but it’s half price on Tuesdays which is a big bargain.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and you can also choose your own toppings.Parking: Free street parking right outside or alternatively there’s a few car parks within about a 2-5 min walk.

Corner Hotel Restaurant
103-105 Dundee St, CarnoustieHad to go out most of the day and decided I wasn't cooking dinner. Suggested going here as I had read a lot on social media about the good food. Glad we went. Unable to eat as there was a big portion on my plate, but we all enjoyed what we had. Staff were great too. Definitely go back.

The Stag's Head Inn
Stags Head Inn, 61 Dundee St, CarnoustieDecent wee boozer and probably one of the cheaper places to have a drink in Carnoustie. Pint of tennents is £4.30.
Both staff and locals are all very friendly and there’s generally a pretty lively atmosphere.
It’s dog friendly as most of the pubs in town. Staff will generally give you dog biscuits and water.

My only criticism is the hot chilli sauce for kebabs is slightly more like a salsa type thing than a sauce, and there’s never anywhere near enough of it for your food.Like other takeaways in the area, it feels to be getting more expensive, although nowhere near as expensive as Euphrates across the road.

7 High St, CarnoustieI came here expecting your average Chinese takeaway place but I was blown away. I ordered chow mien and the service from the cashier was super relaxing. We ordered extra spring rolls and he had given it to us for free! The food came to us in under 5 minutes and it tasted amazing!! If your looking for an option which is cheap this place does it as well. Chow mein small is £5 while the large is £7.50. You must come to this place.

124 High St, CarnoustieI ordered for collection; it was ready in 20 minutes. I had a monster kebab, and it was the best doner I've had. The sauce is by far the best sauce anywhere. I could not recommend Indos enough. Thanks again!

Links Parade, CarnoustieLove popping into Madison's for a coffee and occasional bacon roll after walking my dog.
Great friendly staff, very reasonable prices a lovely coffee.
It's great they are dog friendly as we meet up with other dog owners.
Staff always have the cafe lovely and clean.
