Would highly recommend Poonthai’s. I visited last night for the first time in a number of years and was very impressed with the whole experience. Everything was so fresh, light and super tasty. The service was fast and friendly. Very reasonably priced. We had the starter sharing platter, pard see ew and pard thai.
My wife and I ordered for collection as there were limited options for takeaway in North Berwick, and the restaurant looked nice from the outside. When we opened up the food, it was very unappetising. On tasting it, the flavour was nice, but the curry sauce was very thick and claggy. The chilli sauce with our sides was very thin and a couple of the prawn crackers were a bit chewy, bordering on stale. I wouldn't go back, and would probably choose a good ready meal from a supermarket...read full review
