Wow, this place is just amazing. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious. Highly recommend the Cullen Skink and Blueberry Scones ??I haven't tried their chips yet, but they look incredible. I just love the vintage look. It's fabulous. Booking is a must as they do get very busy during breakfast and lunch.
I travelled grom Edinburgh and visited Effie's with a friend on Saturday 16th September 2023. We walked around looking for a nice place to have a cup of tea/coffee then spotted this beautiful place. It was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. A lot of thought has gone into the theme of the whole place, with silver tea/coffee pots, sugar lumps that even had little covers on to keep off any flying insects that happen to fly in. It’s true…Effies carrot cake is the BEST! Our previous favourite was from Floors Castle (20 year old record), but Effies wins ?Wonderful traditional tea room backed up by excellent service…something that so many places just don’t seem to achieve. Great food. Book a table ?
