We are always totally satisfied with our meals out there. The food is excellent and the staff are so helpful and efficient. We have recommended it to friends and they have always been satisfied with their meals out there too. We take friends there when they come to visit from other places. Never disappointed.

Myself and my partner visited today. I opted for the Three course meal and my partner the two course. Both had Lentil soup followed by the Steak Pie and for pudding we shared the apple pie with custard. The service was excellent, Mary was very welcoming and engaged in conversation with us and was very attentive, can’t ask for much more than that. Throughly enjoyed our meal and will most definitely be back! Thank you.

Worth a five year update to my review.Nothing below has changed. Its my fave wee old school cafe. Its as real as your heartbeat. I'm not interested in chain cafes like Starbucks and Costa. This is where the souls of communites are.My favourite wee place to go when I am back in The Shire for a couple of rolls and slice and chips.
