Six of us visited at lunchtime today (Thursday) with 3 young adults with special needs for an 18th birthday. I had booked ahead and left a message of our requirements for a wheelchair accessible table.On arrival a table was ready and a small portable heater was nearby to ensure we were warm enough as it has been pretty cold recently.The staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating from beginning to end. The service was welcoming and the staff all worked hard to make the ambiance feel this way. Portion sizes were very reasonable and the food was palatable. I had mussels that were pretty bland and a rigatoni dish that was so spicy, you couldn't taste anything else in the dish. Our family had Pizza that was pretty tasty. Can't recommend ⭐⭐⭐ My bolengase was fine if a bit watery. Sweet potato fries fine. Sore stomach during the meal so not convinced on Allergens due diligence. Loud sounds from plates and cutlery dropped quite a few times, not ideal for autistic folk.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free: ⭐⭐⭐Dairy free: ⭐⭐There's GF pasta, but not pizza bases. Staff weren't very aware of allergens when asked to customise something e.g. spaghetti without cheese.
